Welcome to Station 9's Website
Friendship Volunteer Fire Department is located on County Road 8 just outside of Tallassee, Alabama in the community of Friendship. Station 9 has served the community and assisted other departments, when needed, since 1980. There are currently 29 members on the department and 6 fire units in service. Friendship has an ISO rating of five (5).
We are proud of the men and women who volunteer their time and uphold their duty to the highest of their ability to make our community a safer place to live.
Mission Statement
Friendship Volunteer Fire Department is dedicated to the service of our community. We provide fire protection, perform extrication, and ensure the proper handling of hazardous materials. Loss by fire has decreased over 50% since we began which can be attributed to skilled fire fighters and education of our citizens.

For twenty-eight years I have been the chief of Friendship Fire Department
and have cherished each year to see the fire fighters grow from rookies
to trained fire personnel." "Once we arrive on the scene,
we feel we have won the battle if the fire is not allowed to proceed
